March 13th-Going Strong

So it is now almost half way through March and all is going well!  The temptation to eat things I shouldn't is going away, especially when considering sweets.  I still have a day here and there where I still want things, but it is all getting easier.  There are some things that I could be doing, like eating raw more than I am, (I tend to want to cook food more than I should.  Still healthy food, but not raw.)  Here are a couple of recipes that I have made lately.  I am trying to find ways to incorporate more healthy foods and snacks for the kids too so here are a few of my attempts.

One thing that is super healthy for you is wheatgrass.  Have you ever taken a whiff of or tasted wheatgrass by itself?  It's very strong stuff.  My favorite way to incorporate it into my diet is by juicing it.  Here is my favorite wheatgrass juice recipe.

A handful of wheatgrass
1-2 Cups spinach
1/4  of a pineapple

Juice the wheatgrass and spinach first and then the pineapple.  Stir and enjoy.  The taste of the pineapple greatly overpowers the taste of the wheatgrass and it is super yummy!

I also have been making banana/oat/flax muffins for the family.  The kids LOVE them and they are healthy.  I am technically not supposed to eat them because they have yogurt in them, but I still have one here and there.

One bad side affect right now is nausea.  Feeling really nauseaus from time to time and often in the evenings.  Hope that detox symptom passes but it can last for up to 16 weeks.  Great!
